Day 02 – Delhi |
Full day sightseeing of Red
Fort, Rajghat, India Gate, Rashtrapati
Bhawan (President’s Palace), Qutub
Minar Complex & Humayun’s Tomb. |
Day 03 – Delhi / Agra |
After breakfast drive to Agra. En route visit Sikandra
- magnificent tomb of the 3rd Great Mughal - Akbar. Proceed
to Agra & check in at the hotel. Later see Agra
Fort built over the reigns of three Great Mughals. |
Day 04 – Agra / Fatehpur Sikri / Jaipur |
Early morning visit to see The
Taj Mahal at sunrise. After breakfast depart by road
for Jaipur – the Pink City. En route visit Fatehpur
Sikri, 16th Century Mughal capital now a perfectly
preserved ghost town. At Jaipur check-in at the hotel. |
Day 05 – Jaipur |
After breakfast sightseeing of Hawa
Mahal, City Palace + Museum & Jantar Mantar –
18th Century Royal Observatory. Evening free for independent
activities e.g. shopping for carpets, fabrics, gemstones,
paintings etc for which Jaipuris renowned. |
| Day 06 –
Jaipur |
Today visit the Fortress Palace
Of Amber - former Capital of Jaipur’s Maharajas
- & enjoy an ELEPHANT RIDE. Later visit a living Hindu
Temple Birla Mandir. |
Day 07 – Jaipur / Udaipur |
Early morning transfer to airport to connect flight to Udaipur
– city of lakes. At Udaipur, transfer to the hotel and
check in. Later visit City
Palace + Museum of the second oldest living dynasty
of the world, &, Folk
Art Museum. |
Day 08 – Udaipur / Ranakpur / Udaipur |
After breakfast depart by road for an excursion to Ranakpur
to see 15th century Ranakpur
Jain Temples containing
a riot of 1,444 richly carved columns, no two alike. |
Day 09 – Udaipur / Mumbai |
After breakfast transfer to airport to connect flight for
Mumbai. At Mumbai, transfer & check in to the hotel. Later
drive around the city to see Marine
Drive – also known as ‘queen’s necklace’
- Victoria Terminus, Rajabai
Tower & Dhobi
Talao, where the city’s laundry is done manually. |
Day 10 – Mumbai / Out |
After breakfast drive to Gateway
of India and take a boat to visit man-made Elephanta
Caves (not during monsoon months) carved out of living
rock, 6 miles into the Arabian sea. Evening at leisure. Later
transfer to the international airport to connect flight home. |
