HOTELS

Major metropolises of India offer hotel accommodation in a vast range of prices and facilities. At smaller destinations choices can be limited.

We usually recommend using a combination of hotels with different ratings in a tour unless otherwise specified by you.

Ratings are: 3 star; 4 star; 5 star; 5 star deluxe
Heritage Hotels vary from utterly luxurious to basic in their facilities.

TRANSPORT

By Road
For Independent Travellers: Limousines; Deluxe cars; Standard cars; SUVs
For Groups under 10pax: Vans; Mini coaches
For Groups up to 30pax: 18 / 35 seater air-conditioned motor coaches

By Train
For a complete experience of travelling in India, if it fits into your itinerary, we recommend doing a sector of your tour by train. Trains we usually prefer involve travel in an conditioned chair car with push-back seats and an Indian meal or snack served on the train.

By Domestic Airlines in India
India being a popular destination these days, it is advisable to finalise itineraries involving air bookings well in advance to avoid disappointment.

MEALS

Indian cuisine is a lot more than ‘curry’ ! It is not necessarily all spicy!

Our array of breads -e.g. naans, rotis, paranthas, kulchas – is breathtaking!
Our barbecued items – e.g kebabs, tikkas, seekhs – are mouth watering!
Our rice dishes – e.g. pulaos, biryanis, khichdis, kheers – are imaginative!
Our dishes of lentils and vegetables – present a nearly endless list of infinite variety!
And no meal is really complete without delicious Indian desserts!

Nevertheless, for the convenience of foreign guests, most hotels include some western dishes in their buffet menus

To give Independent Travellers greater freedom to suit their own appetite and budget, except breakfast, meals are usually not included in our price for their tours.
For Groups over 15 pax, breakfast, lunch, & dinner are usually included.

Bottled Drinking Water: Indian brands, and for Groups only. (For road journeys of Independent travellers we provide an icebox which they may stock upon their own with soft drinks and water.)
